Referees
Information for Referees
All, I hope you are having a great summer. The list for the clinics for new,re-certification and for the 2011 Badge year WILL post on www.stsr.org somethime this June or July.
All registration and payments are to be made online. No walk ins are allowed as the policy of STSR is to go paperless. If you have questions check the question and answer section on the same site. I am only the sponsor of the clinic, direct change of class or other questions to the instructor of the clinic or to the STSR manager. All these contacts are listed under the contact button.
Once you are successful in the class please contact Ralph Greco at refereeralphgreco@gmail.com . After completion of the course there will be" hands on" field training with a mentor here at Meyer park.
KSC still has a small supply of 9 piece Referee sets available at cost($50) here at the clubhouse during regular business hours.
How do I get games? Once you contact Ralph Greco at the email address above you will be directed to another email site where you will state your availability one week prior to matches. A draft comes out usually Wednesday evening late and the final on Thursday evening late. All match assignments must be confirmed. Assignments are based on experience and grade.
Where do I report to once I get games? Once you receive your assignments you report to the referee table by field # 1, 30 minutes prior to your match time. All administrative work needs to be done at that time. There are 3 assignors at Meyer Park, Ralph Greco, Edwin Cruz, and Vanessa Beltran. One or all will be present in the park during match times.
Dates to remember;
The season begins September18, 2010 .
Important information on USSF Referee Uniforms
Although there are currently two patterns of uniforms available all the colors have remained the same and therefore all may be used until a rule change is announced. Therefore if one official has the old style and the others have the new all may be worn provided that they are the same color (at no time should the referees not color match).
All uniforms must be the USSF approved versions and may or may not have the USSF logo on the arm as long as they are regulation. There is a V neck and pro collar version.
There is no longer a primary color, Gold still remains the standard and least to conflict. Unless you wish to do higher level games there is no need at this time to replace any uniforms with the new styles. Replace only as one wears out.
FIFA will introduce the referee uniforms for the World Cup just before Thanksgiving, they are by adidas and USSF has stated that they will not be switching to this uniform.
Uniform colors are Gold, Green, Blue, Red and Black
ALL REFEREES; in the right hand column is very valuable reading material and forms, for all levels of referees. Check it out.
Klein Soccer Club is proud to be the the Home of Curtis Landrum (2007) and Vanessa Beltran (2008) STYSA Youth Referee of the year.
