Technical Skills Training Programs

Klein Soccer Club, in partnership with Challenge Soccer Club and Klein Select Soccer, proudly offer technical training programs in addition to our recreational and select programs. The technical training sessions are broken into two developmental levels for children, ages 7–10, and uses a curriculum approved by the U.S. Soccer Federation. All sessions are run by soccer professionals, with the goal of giving players the opportunity to refine their skills and test the waters of Select Soccer.

Center of Excellence | Ages 8–10 | $250

Center of Excellence programs offer advanced training to elite male players aged 6-10 and provide high-level supplementary training and the first step into the Houston Dynamo Academy. The Center of Excellence Training Programs operate as two hour, weekly training sessions at Meyer Park conducted by Houston Dynamo (MLS) Trainers and coaches. Access to the Center of Excellence Training Programs is by tryout. The tryout process is free and allows us to create the most competitive training groups possible, featuring the competitive Center of Excellence curriculum focusing on Indivdual Technique and Game Awareness. This popular training sessions features a full Houston Dynamo training uniform.

Technical Training Sessions | Ages 8–10 | $75

This moderate program for 6–10 year olds gives your child the option to practice as little or as much as he or she wants each week, for a flat fee. If you are already registered with Klein Soccer Club, this option is great if you’re looking for extra training for your child; however, this program does not include games. The technical training sessions are in addition to the four free sessions that Challenge SC and the Houston Dynamo professional trainers will conduct for all U7 – U10 Klein Soccer Club players.

Challenge SC Training and Games | Ages 8–10 | $450

This program is open to female players of all skill levels, ages 8–10. Players must attend practice at least twice per week. This option includes Saturday league games, as well as an additional opportunity to play in a city-wide league on Sundays.

Skills training will be offered from October 18 – November 19. Check in begins at 5:00 p.m.
